Electrical installation material estimate
Enter the number of rooms by type, and we estimate the quantity of socket-outlets, switches, luminaires and junction boxes; the exact quantity comes from the bill of quantities calculated from the drawing.

How does the calculator estimate the material?
Enter how many bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms or toilets, and hallways or corridors you have. The calculator estimates the quantities from the values of the program's built-in room templates:
- Socket-outlets: the middle of the template range for each room type (bedroom 3–8, living room 4–10, kitchen 5–12, bathroom/WC 1–2, hallway 1–2); the full range is shown next to the result.
- Switch and ceiling luminaire: one of each per room.
- TV and data socket-outlets: one of each per living room.
- Junction boxes: the number of socket-outlets, switches, TV and data socket-outlets.
An estimate, not a bill of quantities
The result is for quick orientation, for example a first calculation before a quotation. The actual quantity depends on the size of the rooms, the furnishing and the designer's decisions. Avenler calculates the exact quantity from the saved drawing (the electrical bill of quantities), together with cable lengths and connection reserve.
Frequently asked questions
Is the quantity exact?
No, it is an estimate. The quantities are typical values of the program's room templates; the exact quantity comes from the bill of quantities calculated from the saved drawing.
What does the estimate not include?
It does not estimate cable length, the board devices or the low-current devices (except the TV and data socket-outlets).
